RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI & CT Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together. As an MRI & CT Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI and CT services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometime difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. 

This is a temporary/PRN position working varied shifts. This position will cover 3 locations - McKinney, Plano, and Richardson. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(80%) Patient Imaging

  1. Performs routine and advanced imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats
  2. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination
  3. Prepares patients for MRI and/or CT procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure and positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
  4. Adjusts scan parameters correctly and as needed
  5. Maintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologists, referring offices and other team members and peers
  6. Converses with physicians, nurses, patients and family members as required
  7. Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect themselves, patients, and other team members
  8. Maintains accurate patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
  9. Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and other team members
  10. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(15%) Department Support

  1. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
  2. Assists with maintaining an updated MRI and/or CT protocol manual and software upgrades
  3. Monitors medical supply inventory
  4. Assists with training of new team members and acts as a resource, providing technical expertise

(5%) Performs other tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, dependent on State regulations and business needs
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently
  • Certification in imaging specialty
  • 2 years of MRI experience customer service skills a must

  • Bilingual
