Job Purpose and Impact

The Associate Process Development Scientist, will manage research and develop excellent criteria as protocols, coordination, timeline respect in lab and trial deliverables and line of site to innovation unit and data. The role is accountable to contribute to the delivery of innovation research and projects and will support researchers with process and product innovation, laboratory operations and commercialization activities including trial execution, protocols and data.



Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for planning, quality and safety of laboratory and piloting trials and keep an ongoing and active dialogue with researchers, lab and technicians.
  • Maintain labs in a safe, organize and efficient manner (equipment operational, inventory/supplies, coordination of ordering/samples/testing, lab scheduling)
  • Contribute to continuous evaluation and improvement of experimental methodology, daily routines and procedures.
  • Work with scientists and technicians to ensure accurate formulation and ingredient procurement.
  • Responsible for the setup, monitoring, recording and reporting of results of lab and piloting trials with appropriate partners.
  • Liaise with the research team, operations and analytical partners to update on trial findings.
  • Ensure trials comply to the safety program and care policies.
  • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in local language and English
  • Basic knowledge of lab or manufacturing operations (safety 1st mindset)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, balance requests and detailed oriented

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge or experience in edible fats & oils processing or formulating
  • Professional certificate in a relevant area such as production Engineering, chemical processing, etc.
  • Passion to bring new ideas forward creating/influencing new processing or IP
  • Analytical Statistic knowledge
  • Experience in running research trials

Position Information

The expected salary for this position is $52,000 – $67,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
