As the Site Coordinator, you’re not just running a program—you’re helping create an experience that kids look forward to every single day! Under the guidance of the School Age Director, you’ll lead the day-to-day adventures of our School Age program, support your team, connect with families, and make sure every child has a safe, exciting, and unforgettable experience.
You’ll have the opportunity to dream up awesome activities, lead an amazing team, solve challenges, celebrate successes, and make a real difference in the lives of children and families.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Lead the adventure! Plan and bring to life fun, creative, and engaging activities that keep kids excited to come back each day.Â

Be a positive and encouraging leader for Assistant leaders and Group Leaders- helping them create the magic.Â

Help your team feel supported, motivated, Host meetings and encourage them to be ready to bring their best energy every day.

Build meaningful relationships with children and families and help create a strong sense of community and boost our enrollment.Â

Keep the program organized and running smoothly—even when the unexpected happens!

Handle children's files and make sure everything is up to date.

Help keep the program in compliance with YMCA policies, licensing requirements, and all safety guidelines.Make safety a priority while following EEC protocol, and guidance from the School Age Director. (Serving food, Site set up, Files Ect.)

Be a problem-solver, cheerleader, planner, and team player all rolled into one!

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
-     Minimum of 20 years of age.                                                                   Â
- Â Â Â Â B.S. or B.A. with 9 months experience with school age children, or High School diploma or equivalent plus 1 year working with school age.
- Â Â Â Â CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
- Â Â Â Â Evidence of physical examination within last 12 months.
- Â Â Â Â Negative Mantoux TB test and immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella.
- Â Â Â Â Ability to create and sustain a culture of excellence and work and thrive as part of a cohesive team.
- Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and clean when necessary.
- Will sometimes work early morning, late nights and weekends.
- Strong oral communication skills required for occasional public speaking responsibilities.
- Â Â Â Â Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 75lbs on occasion and 40lbs frequently (children) and move intermittently during work hours.
- Â Â Â Â Ability to thoroughly understand Y-USA's three focus areas: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility; proven ability to identify and meet the needs of the health seeker
