Propane Delivery Driver

Job Details: Job Location: Pocomoke Office - Pocomoke, MD, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: CDL with Hazmat endorsement, Salary Range: $24.00 - $29.00Hourly, Job Category: Transportation, $2,000 Sign-On Bonus available to experienced LP Delivery Drivers who can independently perform propane deliveries upon hire.The Propane Delivery Driver position requires an individual to safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to customer locations. This position also requires someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, customer Service and Employee Team-Work. Making deliveries in all type of weather and conditions. Overtime is possible in the heating season.Essential Functions: Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane to and from specified destinations.   Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.    Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures. Operates truck in accordance with established safety procedures.   Engages in daily interaction with customers and provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries.   Assists with sales initiatives.   Performs responsibilities in on-call rotation for after hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response.   Ensures all DOT requirements are always met. Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to yard and plant maintenance or dock work. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Prior gas delivery experience helpful. Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a minimum of 2 years of experience and Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brakes endorsements. Ability to work outdoors in various weather and driving conditions. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with existing and potential customers. Flexibility to perform duties outside of the basic job description. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Desire to succeed and advance in a team environment. Willingness to take direction from the Plant Manager. Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT physical, drug test, and Homeland Security background check. Ability to frequently lift cylinders weighing 40–50 pounds.   Qualifications:
