Our client is seeking an onsite Financial Controller to lead our local accounting operations and drive financial excellence in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Director ofFinance, this position is responsible for delivering accurate, timely financialreporting while maintaining strong accounting practices, internal controls, andoperational support.
As a key member of theFinance leadership team, the Controller will lead daily accounting operations,oversee payroll for more than 1,000 associates, develop the accounting team,and provide meaningful financial insight to resort leadership.
- Financial Leadership: Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely monthly closing and financial reporting.
- Internal Controls: Maintain, audit, and improve robust internal control structures to safeguard high-volume cash flow and resort assets.
- Operational Oversight: Partner with department heads to manage budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost-control initiatives.
- Mentorship: Supervise and develop the onsite accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
Requirements
Ideal Candidate
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA is a major plus) with deep knowledge of GAAP.
- Possesses 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the hospitalityindustry and has managed the financials for multiple properties.
- Demonstrates strong proficiency in enterprise-level hospitality property management systems and advanced Excel.
- Dynamic Communicator that thrives in a fast-paced environment, translates data into operational strategy, and collaborates effortlessly across teams.
