Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Summary

A Pompano Beach orthopedic outpatient office is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to join its PT-owned clinic. This role supports patients as they work through recovery from injury, surgery, pain, and movement limitations.

You will assist with treatment sessions, reinforce care plans, and help patients build confidence in their movement under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Role Highlights

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year, based on experience
Setting: Orthopedic Outpatient Office
Schedule: 4-day work schedule or Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Patient Volume: 2 patients per hour
Clinic Type: PT-owned

Responsibilities

  • Deliver treatment interventions based on the PT’s established plan of care
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercise and functional movement
  • Assist with gait training, balance work, strengthening, and mobility activities
  • Track how patients respond during each session
  • Share patient updates with the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Reinforce home exercise instructions and safe movement habits
  • Maintain complete and timely documentation
  • Support a smooth patient experience throughout the visit
  • Current Florida PTA License
  • PTA Degree
  • Outpatient experience preferred
  • Interest in orthopedic rehabilitation
  • Strong communication and organization skills
