This role prepares a wide range of menu items while ensuring quality, consistency, and food safety standards are met. The Cook II works independently on assigned cooking tasks while supporting timely meal service for our residents and guests.What You’ll Do Prepare soups, sauces, proteins, vegetables, and other menu items according to standardized recipes  Ensure food is prepared, portioned, and served with proper quality, temperature, and presentation  Support daily food production planning, including pre prep and supply needs  Maintain food production logs and temperature records  Keep assigned workstations clean, sanitary, and organized  Follow personal hygiene, safety, and department standards at all timesSkills You NeedMust Have Skills Minimum of two years of cooking experience in a professional kitchen or comparable setting  Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and sanitation practices  Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform basic math  Ability to work independently and as part of a teamNice to Have Skills Culinary training or education  Experience in healthcare, senior living, or multi meal service operationsEducation: Degree not required if you have relevant skills or experience. How You’ll Grow HereIn your first 12 to 24 months, you’ll have opportunities to: Strengthen core cooking and production skills  Take on expanded responsibilities across menu execution  Grow within a structured culinary team environmentCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $19.00 to $20.50(Range depends on experience, skills, and shift)Additional Compensation: Holiday Bonus  Scholarship Opportunities Free lunchBenefits Snapshot: Health, dental, vision Retirement savings Paid time offQualifications:
