Job Overview

Our client is looking for an Automotive Telematics Validation Engineer with hands-on experience in telematics ECU validation, bench flashing, HIL testing, vehicle validation, and automotive communication technologies.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting and validation skills, along with experience using Vector CAN tools, including CANoe and CANalyzer. Experience with SOME/IP, MQTT, and Python-based automation is also required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform telematics ECU bench flashing and support ECU validation activities.
  • Set up and configure Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test benches.
  • Execute HIL testing and validation activities.
  • Use Vector CAN tools, including CANoe and CANalyzer, for communication analysis and testing.
  • Perform vehicle-level validation and testing of telematics systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues identified during bench, HIL, and vehicle validation.
  • Analyze system behavior and support identification of root causes for telematics-related issues.
  • Develop or utilize automation solutions using Python or similar automation tools.
  • Work with automotive communication technologies including SOME/IP and MQTT.
  • Collaborate with engineering and validation teams to support telematics system testing and issue resolution.
  • Document test results, issues, and validation findings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with automotive telematics validation.
  • Experience with ECU bench flashing.
  • Experience with HIL bench setup, testing, and execution.
  • Strong experience with Vector CAN tools, particularly:
    • CANoe
    • CANalyzer
  • Experience with vehicle validation and testing.
  • Strong troubleshooting and validation skills in telematics systems.
  • Knowledge of SOME/IP and MQTT.
  • Experience with Python or similar automation tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
