​Shift Differentials:

  • Evening - $3.00/hour
  • Night  - $5.00/hour
  • Weekend - $4.50/hour

Premiums:

  • Per Diem - 15% (on rate of pay, in lieu of benefits)
  • Lead - $3.25/hour
  • On-Call - $3.00/hour
  • Preceptor - $1.50/hour
  • Trainer - $1.50/hour

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the supervision of the Chef, the Baker/Caterer is primarily responsible for preparing the breakfast, breads and dessert needs for patient meals, café menu and catered functions.  In the role of caterer, is fully responsible for planning, preparing and executing approved catering functions.  In both roles, works closely with chefs, kitchen personnel and managers to properly execute events.  Checks with the Education Department to verify dates and locations of meetings and special functions.  Maintains appropriate stock levels and submits grocery request and invoices as needed.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.  Professional baker’s training and/or Culinary Arts training preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of two years baking and/or catering experience in a hospitality setting preferred.

LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS

Obtains Food Handler’s Permit within 30 days of hire and maintains current Food Handler’s Permit for duration of employment.   ServSafe certification preferred.
