Job Details: Job Location: FLA-Port Charlotte Corps - Port Charlotte, FL, Position Type: Seasonal Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Category: Christmas, This is a seasonal position working November 16 – December 24, 2026Schedule/Hours: Schedules and locations will vary.Full-time opportunities available.Apply online and visit us at 1 of the 2026 Bell Ringer Information SessionsThursday, October 29, 2026, at 10:00 am ORThursday, November 5th at 10:00 amThe Salvation Army of Port Charlotte2120 Loveland Blvd Port Charlotte, FL 33980This position is responsible for: Supporting the Salvation Army Christmas Program by greeting the public and collecting donations at assigned kettle locations.Key Responsibilities:• Ring bells for The Salvation Army Christmas Program at assigned locations.• Ensure the kettle is never left unattended.• Greet the public courteously and promote a positive image of The Salvation Army.• Follow instructions and conduct duties according to Salvation Army ministry and Christian principles.• Maintain responsibility for all assigned materials, including kettle, tripod, bell, and apron.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:• Ability to stand for extended periods outdoors in varying weather conditions.• Ability to lift and carry light objects (less than 25 lbs).• Work involves exposure to cold, wind, and outdoor noise; appropriate dress is required.• Must be punctual and reliable. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU: Education and Experience:• No formal education or experience required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Ability to follow directions and work with limited supervision.• Friendly and courteous demeanor with the public.• Understanding of and commitment to The Salvation Army mission and values.• Ability to stand outdoors for extended periods.Licenses and Certifications:• Valid State Driver’s License may be required depending on location assignmentEqual Opportunity Employer: Veterans | Disabled
