Location: U.S. Navy Seabee Museum, Port Hueneme, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
Type: Full-Time, On-Site
U.S. Citizenship: Required

Viakorp Corporation is seeking a Museum Curator to support artifact inventory, cataloging, photography, preservation, and digitization at the U.S. Navy Seabee Museum.

Responsibilities

• Inventory and catalog museum artifacts.

• Photograph and document artifacts.

• Clean, prepare, and repack artifacts for preservation.

• Update collection records and digital files.

• Assist with museum collection digitization.

• Follow museum collection management standards.

Qualifications

• Degree, education, or current studies in History, Museum Studies, Archival Management, or a related field.

• Experience with artifact cataloging, collections, archives, or curatorial work.

• Familiarity with collection management systems.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Adobe Acrobat, and basic digital photography.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical museum collection work.
