Quality Assurance Representative

About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Representative II to supportquality assurance activities on construction projects in the Port St. Lucie, FLarea. This role will be responsible for monitoring construction activities,verifying compliance with project requirements, specifications, plans, andapplicable quality standards, and supporting the project team in identifyingand addressing quality-related issues. The ideal candidate will have a strongconstruction background, including significant experience working on heavycivil projects, and must be comfortable working in active constructionenvironments and on rough terrain.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Construction Inspection

·         Monitor construction activitiesto ensure work is performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications,contract requirements, and quality standards.

·         Perform field inspections ofongoing construction activities and document observations, deficiencies, andquality concerns.

·         Verify that materials,workmanship, and construction processes meet project requirements.

·         Identify potential qualityissues and communicate them to the appropriate project personnel.

·         Assist in tracking correctiveactions and verifying that identified deficiencies are properly addressed.

·         Maintain accurate and timelyinspection records, reports, checklists, and other project documentation.

Field Operations

·         Conduct regular fieldobservations and inspections at active construction sites.

·         Monitor construction progressand observe work performed by contractors and subcontractors.

·         Coordinate with projectmanagement, construction personnel, inspectors, engineers, and otherstakeholders as required.

·         Review field conditions andcommunicate issues that may affect quality, schedule, or compliance.

·         Support quality assuranceactivities throughout the duration of the project.

Documentation & Reporting

·         Prepare daily or periodicquality assurance reports based on field observations and inspections.

·         Document deficiencies,non-conforming work, and corrective actions.

·         Maintain organized records ofinspections, testing, materials, and other quality-related activities.

·         Provide clear and timelyupdates to project management regarding field conditions and quality concerns.

·         Assist with project closeoutdocumentation and quality records as required.

Requirements

Qualifications

Required:

·         Minimum of 7 years ofexperience in construction.

·         5 or more years of experienceworking on Heavy Civil Projects.

·         Strong understanding ofconstruction practices, processes, materials, and field operations.

·         Experience working in activeconstruction environments.

·         Ability to read and understandconstruction plans, specifications, and project documentation.

·         Strong attention to detail andability to identify construction quality issues.

·         Good written and verbalcommunication skills.

·         Ability to work independentlyas well as effectively with project teams.

·         Must be physically capable ofwalking over rough terrain and standing for long periods of time.

·         Ability to work outdoors and invarying field conditions.

Preferred:

·         Experience performing qualityassurance or construction inspection activities on heavy civil infrastructureprojects.

·         Experience working withgovernment or public-sector construction projects.

·         Familiarity with constructionquality control/quality assurance procedures.

·         Experience documenting fieldinspections, deficiencies, and corrective actions.

·         Relevant construction,inspection, engineering, or quality certifications.
