In this role, you will receive hands-on training that will prepare you for a career as a Pharmacy Tech. All clinical skills will be taught under the supervision of an experienced team member to support you in training. No previous medical background required!

Day in the Life of a Pharmacy Tech:

Provide customer service support by greeting patients and directing inquiries to appropriate staff

Assist patients with general questions, referring clinical or complex issues to a pharmacist

Observe and assist with prescription intake, data entry, and insurance processing

Assist with point-of-sale transactions under supervision

Observe and assist in the preparation, labeling, and packaging of prescriptions in accordance with state and federal regulations

Assist with inventory activities, including stocking, organizing, and monitoring supplies

What you'll need:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• 
  

  Obtain a Washington State Pharmacy Assistant License and enroll in a commission-approved pharmacy technician training program

• 
  

  National certification (PTCB or ExCPT): not required for trainee status, but expected upon program completion if applicable BLS certification: not required for trainee role unless organizationally mandated

• Commitment to 5 years' employment in WA state rural healthcare
