Job Details: Job Location: Bethany Athletic Club - Portland, OR, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: 2 Year Degree, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Travel Percentage: None, Job Shift: Day, Bethany Athletic Club's Childcare and Preschool center Bkids, seeks a Child Care Director to join the Bkids team! The Childcare Director will be overseeing the BKids Daycare + Preschool and fostering a safe, supportive, and educational environment for children. They will be responsible for all areas of childcare including staffing, administration, legal + licensing compliance, and enrollment of the center. This is an exempt onsite position. Center Hours: 730AM-530PM M-F Position type: Salary/Exempt, OnsiteSalary: $65k-$73k DOEMain Responsibilities: Maintains compliance with certified daycare center rules Developing operation and personnel policies Managing a team of Floats, Subs, Assistant Teachers, Lead Teachers, and Assistant Director.  Trains new employees and provides ongoing training for all childcare/youth programs staff Coordinates the weekly schedule, covering different shifts if necessary Serves as the lead customer service contact for members in Bkids, including: answering questions, welcoming parents and other member communications Develops and manages all employees  Establishes, monitors and analyzes the budget Develops and implements policies and procedures  Orders any supplies needed  Refers all HR related issues including hiring, termination, performance issues, etc. to the Operations Manager and/or HR department Must be able to work days, evenings and weekends as necessary Other duties as assignedQualifications: Certified in CPR/First Aid Meets Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care of a Childcare Center Director Step 9 in the Oregon Registry Associate or Bachelor's degree in early learning education or relevant field.  Min 2 years working in certified childcare center.  Experience managing and leading a team of 8+ Qualifications: Language RequirementAll team members must have the basic ability to use computer/smart phone applications for training and company system purposes. Employees must also be able to comprehend written documents such as work orders, safety rules, instructions, policies, and procedures.
