Summary

A successful Maintenance Technician II services and conducts repairs on buildings and equipment including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting or plastering as needed. This is a non-exempt hourly position that reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

 ● Develop, evaluate, improve, and document machine and facility maintenance.       

● Support production, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. 

● Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation. 

● Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues. 

● Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality. 

● Maintain maintenance logs and reports on daily activities. 

● Ensure health and safety policies are followed. 

● Support company policies and procedures, goals and objectives and good manufacturingpractices.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Highschool Diploma or GED required. 

  • Minimum 7 years of proven mechanical experience.

  • 2-year technical or related degree preferred and or 4 plus years of manufacturing experience. 

  • 2 plus years of prior maintenance experience 

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills. 

  • A strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills in an industrial environment. 

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and machine concepts. 

  • Ability to grasp current technology quickly. 

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects. 

  • Must be able to operate a forklift. 

  • Proven mechanical, electrical, hydraulic knowledge.

  • Stick weld and torch knowledge and ability. 

  • Proven forklift and crane experience.

  • Proven blueprint reading ability.

  • Own all necessary or required tools.

  • Proven trouble shooting capabilities.

  • Technical training as required.

  • Proven pneumatic experience.

  • Must be a self starter and require minimal direction.

Physical Requirements: 

● Prolonged periods standing. 

● Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 

● Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
