POSITION: Mechanical Design Intern
SUMMARY:
聽
The Product Development (PD) group is involved in the design, validation and documentation of new product design and upgrades to existing product ranges. The successful candidate will work on project support as assigned by Engineers in the PD group.
Position is full-time during the summer.聽 Half time during the school year.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Training will be given to accomplish the following:
路聽聽聽聽聽 Hands-on support of component testing and data collection.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Drafting support using NX 3D/2D system.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Engineering support work for projects as assigned.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Release of drawings / documents through SAP & Teamcenter ERP systems.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide ESG & EHS Management systems, which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.
路聽聽聽聽聽Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Completion of freshman year of BSc Mechanical Engineering degree.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Sound computer skills in Word and Excel.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience with 2D and 3D CAD systems
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 An Interest in rotating machinery and manufacturing is beneficial.
