Job Details: Job Location: Apex - Dannaher - Powell, TN, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: High School Diploma/GED, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Travel Percentage: Up to 50% , Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Other Positions, US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Full-time Medical Assistant to join our team at Apex Vascular in Dannaher, TN. Responsibilities & Duties: Assists healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments. Records patient histories, vital signs, and other pertinent information in medical records. Prepares and maintains examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked. Schedules patient appointments and manages front desk operations. Processes patient intake forms and insurance documentation. Administers medications and injections as directed by physicians. Performs basic laboratory tests and assists with sample collection. Performs chart preparation as required. Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA regulations. Provides patient education and support, answering questions about treatments and procedures. Assists in maintaining inventory of medical supplies and equipment. When position requires travel to/from other locations, ensures vehicles are operated and maintained in compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company requirements. Provides support to nursing staff as required. Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and respect in all interactions. Follows processes and policies for the organization. Reports to work as scheduled, ready to perform duties, and promptly notifies the supervisor of any attendance issues. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: A High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution. One (1) year of Medical Assistant experience, or recent graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program with completion of program externship. Current Medical Assistant certification, where required by the practice or state of employment. Where required, certification must be obtained within the timeframe established by the practice. Must have experience in administration of EKGs. Current valid state driver’s license and required minimum auto insurance coverage.
