Key Responsibilities: Â
Operate and maintain slitting equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines, ensuring optimal performance and quality outputÂ
Executes proper setup procedures for master rolls, including positioning, alignment, and preparation for slitting operations to meet production specificationsÂ
Ability to followAbility to follow the Set-up Card /Recipe to precise specifications including Mfg. Instructions per job and Finishing specsÂ
Performs splice operations during production runs, maintaining consistent material flow and minimizing downtimeÂ
Implements comprehensive material management protocols, including accurate identification, segregation, and labeling of work-in-process materials, rewinds, waste materials, and products placed on hold statusÂ
Coordinates with team members in the safe and efficient removal of processed rolls from rewind positions as production requirements dictateÂ
Conducts precise measurement and documentation of startup rolls and materials at the initiation of each job, ensuring all SOC’sare followed andaccurate production recordsÂ
Trains new and lower-level slitter operatorsÂ
Executes waste management protocols and accurate documentationÂ
Manages equipment and tools through proper storage procedures and organizational systemsÂ
Adheres to all safety protocols, quality standards, and operational proceduresÂ
Education & Experience:    Â
High School diploma or equivalent preferredÂ
Previous manufacturing experience preferredÂ

 Physical Demands: The associate will be exposed to the manufacturing environment where hazards and requirements may include but are not limited to:Â
Must be able to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds Â
Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods Â
Ability to climb, kneel, bend, and squat Â
Proficiency in grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor skills Â
Ability to wear required PPE (hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses)Â

Work Conditions: The majority of tasks will be performed in a manufacturing setting with exposure to:Â Â

Must be able to work flexible shifts Â
May require nights, weekends, and holidays.  Â
An additional $2.50/hr premium for hours worked on NIGHT Shift only (qualifying hours vary by location). Â
