Job Summary:

Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring online and in-person to students struggling with course subject matter.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide online and in-person tutoring to individuals and small groups.

  • Review organizational and study strategies with students.

  • Participate in departmental and inter-departmental meetings and attend in-service and other job-related training.

  • Refer students to college support services and other college departments when necessary.

  • Communicate with campus coordinator to ensure continued successful operation of the program.

  • Document tutoring outcomes using Civitas software and shared documents.

  • Experience with Blackboard, Zoom, MS Teams, and Webex

  • Supervise the Center in the absence of the campus coordinator or director

Minimum Requirements:

  • Earned bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, or related field.

  • Submission of official college transcript(s).

  • A minimum of one (3) years of experience in providing tutoring in higher education, a community organization, or a high school.

  • Demonstrated advocacy and commitment to student success and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by community college and developmental education students.
