This position is responsible for safely operating material handling equipment, moving and organizing inventory, picking and preparing customer orders, and supporting daily warehouse operations.The ideal candidate has forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining a safety-first mindset.Essential Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts, including sit-down forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, and order pickers, to move, load, unload, and organize materials throughout the warehouse. Pick and prepare customer orders accurately using appropriate material handling equipment. Utilize RF scanners to track inventory movement, verify product information, and ensure materials are placed in designated locations. Transport finished goods to shipping and staging areas, verifying quantities, weights, and product labeling. Load and unload trucks while ensuring materials are properly secured to prevent damage. Wrap and secure palletized products using shrink-wrapping equipment. Identify and promptly report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, equipment concerns, and potential safety hazards to supervisors. Complete required shipping documentation, inventory records, and other paperwork accurately and on time. Utilize parcel shipping software to process outgoing shipments. Maintain an organized, clean, and hazard-free warehouse environment. Organize inventory to maximize warehouse efficiency and accessibility. Successfully complete required company forklift training and operate equipment in accordance with established safety procedures. Manually move and position materials as needed. Support additional warehouse operations and perform other duties as assigned.   Qualifications: Required Qualifications  Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED required. Experience operating forklifts with a rated capacity of 6,500 pounds. Ability to safely maneuver and transport large, heavy, or awkwardly shaped materials. Strong safety mindset with a commitment to following workplace safety procedures, recognizing potential hazards, and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures. Basic math, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to perform the essential physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Flexibility to work overtime as business needs require.  Preferred Qualifications At least one year of forklift operating experience. Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment. Experience operating forklifts to transport materials weighing 2,500 pounds or more. Experience handling oversized or wide loads, including materials up to 18 feet in length. Familiarity with RF scanners, warehouse inventory systems, and shipping software. Physical Requirements & Work EnvironmentThis position requires physical activity in a warehouse environment, including: Standing, walking, reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, kneeling, and repetitive movements throughout the workday. Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment. Lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds without assistance. Lifting, pushing, or pulling 75–100 pounds with assistance. Working in an environment with potential exposure to seasonal temperatures and wood dust. Maintaining awareness of surroundings and following established safety protocols.
