Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Physical Therapist (PT) for a 13-week contract assignment in Quincy, California.
This role is ideal for a licensed Physical Therapist with experience treating adult patients across acute care, swing bed, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and outpatient settings.
The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized rehabilitation plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence.
Candidates must hold an active California Physical Therapy license, current AHA BLS certification, and have at least 1 year of relevant Physical Therapy experience.
Key Responsibilities
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Evaluate patients with mobility, strength, balance, neurological, orthopedic, and functional limitations.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Develop individualized Physical Therapy treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provide therapeutic exercise and functional mobility training.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Perform gait training and transfer training.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provide balance and fall-prevention interventions.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assess range of motion, strength, endurance, posture, and functional performance.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist patients recovering from surgery, illness, injury, or other medical conditions.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Recommend and train patients in the use of walkers, canes, wheelchairs, and other mobility devices.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Educate patients and families regarding home exercise programs and safety strategies.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and discharge planning.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using Cerner.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Follow patient-safety, infection-control, rehabilitation, and regulatory standards.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Manage an assigned patient caseload efficiently while maintaining high-quality care.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have:
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Active California Physical Therapy license
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy or another qualifying degree that meets applicable California licensure requirements
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Successful completion of the National Physical Therapist Examination (NPTE)
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification through the American Heart Association
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Minimum 1 year of relevant Physical Therapy experience
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong written and verbal communication skills
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Compliance with applicable California regulatory and professional requirements

Schedule Requirements
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Day Shift
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Five 8-hour shifts per week
