POSITION SUMMARY:

Serves as court liaison and coordinates patient court activities in collaboration with other departments. Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely involuntary commitment paperwork completion, filing, and submission to the courts. Coordinates Performance Improvement planning to improve court processes within the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training:

路 High School Graduate; 2 years of college preferred.

路 Training in healthcare compliance activities, healthcare safety/risk management, hospital performance improvement activities, and hospital administration preferred.

Experience:

路 Familiarity with legal proceedings and hospital procedures.

Licensure/Certification:

路 None

Knowledge and Skills:

路 Displays written and verbal communication skills and is able to follow written and oral instructions.

路 Ability to work collaboratively, diplomatically, and with integrity I problem identification, projects management, and problem solving activities.

路 Ability to work independently and productively with little supervision.

路 Ability to develop action plans, coordinates resources, and see tasks through to completion.

路 Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

路 Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, local regulations as well as JC, CMS, and related standards.

路 Knowledge of ethical principles and compliance issues in a healthcare setting.

路 Communicates positively with sensitivity to growth, development, and cultural issues.
