Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The HR Coordinator will conduct benefits orientations bi-weekly for General Orientation and as needed. Responsible for assisting employees with benefits questions; acts as a liaison when necessary to achieve resolution to employee benefit challenges. Responsible for the processing of all LOAs in a timely manner and ensures proper supporting documentation is obtained for the leave and the return of the employee back to work. Processes all disability and accommodations request.

 

Job Functions:

· Process FMLA Claims on a weekly basis. Notify Supervisors of new cases; instruct supervisors of time frames.

· Communicate with FMLA vendors on existing cases for verification.

· Update PTO/ELB and FMLA status into HRIS

· Investigate Work Compensation Claims

· Assist with ADA

· Assist with daily duties; Onboarding, filing, scanning, assisting customers, and other duties required by management.

· Provides clerical support for daily needs in human resources including the electronic filing and maintenance of the employee personnel and training files, making new hire packets and assisting with new hire orientation.

· Conduct necessary audits

· Works with the HR staff to ensures that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately

· Assist customers on UHS offered benefits (I.E. 401 K, Life Insurance, Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, etc.)

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Minimum three years’ experience in Human Resources.

Strong Knowledge of FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, ADA and all UHS Benefits

Knowledge of current computer software.

Good communication skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask.

Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.

 

EDUCATION / LICENSURE:

 

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or 5 years of HR experience with an associate degree preferred, or 8 years of HR considered in lieu of a degree preferred.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

· Experienced working with recruitment software, Applicant Tracking Systems, Lawson and HRIS databases. Progressive experience within corporate and/or search firm environments with a proven track record of sourcing.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

· Knowledge of Recruitment Programs and Procedures including applicant sourcing, background checks and on-boarding.

· Knowledge of Federal and State Employment Laws

· Knowledge of Employee Relations and Performance Evaluation

· Knowledge of Employee Benefits and Compensation

· Knowledge of HR training and development

· Knowledge of JCAHO and other licensing agency HR requirements

· Strong skills in verbal and written communication, conflict resolution, data analysis, project management, time management, and administrative process.

· Strong skills in HR information system
