Qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide psychiatric care to the hospital鈥檚 patients in conjunction with a supervising psychiatrist.

QUALIFICATIONS:
聽
Education/Training:
路 Masters Degree in Nursing
路 Must have a psychiatric specialty.
聽
Experience:
路 At least one year inpatient psychiatric experience working with patients with needs similar to the patients served by the facility. 5 years preferred.
聽
Licensure/Certification:
路 Current Nurse Practitioner License.
路 National Certification.
路 Current North Carolina Driver鈥檚 License
路 Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider)

Knowledge and Skills:
路 Knowledge of appropriate assessment and evaluation tools and tests, diagnoses, & interventions with patients.
路 Knowledge of milieu management.
路 Knowledge of acute adult, adolescent, and child psychological disorders
路 Advanced knowledge of principles of abnormal psychology
路 Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation.
路 Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
路 Skill in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation.
