Position Overview: Children’s Home Society of South Dakota is seeking a Full-Time Cook to prepare meals and snacks for residential, day students, and on-duty staff. As a leader in compassionate, trauma-informed care, Children’s Home Society is committed to fostering equity and inclusion in all aspects of our work.Â
Pay: Minimum of $20.00+/hour (DOE)Â

What You’ll Do:Â

- Fulfill menu requirements and serve meals.Â
- Wash pots and pans, trays, dishes, etc.Â
- Take out kitchen trash to outside trash bins.Â
- Cover, label and date all suitable leftovers for storage.Â
- Take and record food temperatures at mealtime.Â
- Maintain personal cleanliness, as well as cleanliness of the kitchen and storage areas.Â
- Take and record refrigerator, freezer and dishwashing machine temperatures.Â
- Attend team meetings as required.Â
- Participate in required in-service training.Â

Requirements
RequiredÂ
- High school degree or GED required.Â
Preferred
- Some experience in quantity food production preferred.Â
