The Lube, Oil & Filter (LOF) Technician is responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance services including oil changes, tire services, fluid checks, and basic inspections. This role plays an important part in ensuring vehicles are properly maintained while delivering fast, friendly, and professional service to customers. The LOF Technician works closely with Service Advisors and other technicians to maintain efficient shop operations and support overall store performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform oil and filter changes according to manufacturer and company standards

  • Conduct vehicle courtesy inspections and report any recommended services

  • Check and top off vehicle fluids including coolant, transmission, brake, and windshield washer fluid

  • Rotate and inspect tires, including checking tire pressure and tread depth

  • Replace air filters, cabin filters, and wiper blades as needed

  • Maintain accurate service documentation and inspection results

  • Assist technicians with basic shop tasks and vehicle movement when necessary

  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards

  • Follow company procedures and service guidelines for all maintenance services

  • Communicate any potential mechanical issues to Service Advisors or senior technicians

Qualifications

  • Motor Vehicle Inspector's License (preferred)

  • Previous automotive service experience preferred but not required

  • Basic mechanical knowledge and willingness to learn

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

  • Ability to safely operate vehicles and shop equipment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
