Position Title: Housekeeper/CustodianĀ 

Core Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week, hours may vary to meet the demands of the department and could include evenings and weekends

Supervisor: Director of Residential Services

  • Employee has strong autonomy skills and requires minimal supervision of day-to-day job responsibilities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to the following):

Ā 

1.Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize surfaces, remove trash, clean windows, restrooms, common areas, conference rooms, resident rooms, and other assigned areas of the facility.

2. Deep clean residential kitchen and laundry equipment regularly

3. Replenish soap, paper products, and other facility supplies.

4. Safely operate and maintain equipment in good condition

5. Identify, document, and report needed repairs, unsafe conditions, or facility concerns.

6. Report incidents, hazards, damage, or security concerns promptly to a supervisor.

7. Follow all Safe Berks’ policies and procedures and interact professionally and respectfully with Safe Berks clients, visitors and employees.

8. Demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage assigned responsibilitiesĀ 

9. Perform other related duties as assigned.Ā 

Requirements

Educational & Experience Requirements:

Educational & Experience Requirements:


Employment Experience (amount and kind)

Ā· Minimum of 1 year custodial, housekeeping or related experience.

Ā· Experience working in a residential/communal setting is strongly preferred

Ā· Ability to read and follow written instructions

Education (general level required or specific courses)


Ā· High school diploma or equivalent required


Essential Physical Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.Ā 


Other Requirements:

  • Completion of a background check request; FBI, State Police, and Child Abuse Clearances obtained within required timeframe under Act 153 through agency vendor
  • C Valid driver's license, current vehicle registration, acceptable driving record, and PA Minimum Liability insurance coverage of $15,000 Bodily Injury per person / $30,000 Bodily Injury per accident and $5,000 Property Damage, or $35,000 Combined Single Limit, if your position requires operating a personal or organization owned vehicle. Ā 
  • Completion of Sexual and Domestic Violence Advocate Training provided by agency
