Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Technical Specialist will investigate manufacturing non-conformances, plan and direct corrective action procedures, and identify new processes / technology to improve productivity.

You Will Have The Opportunity To:

  • Identify and correct special causes of manufacturing process non-conformances and internal rejections. 
  • Research manufacturing data and reports, determine the causes of plant non-conformances and rejections and initiate manufacturing and process improvements that will enhance plant performance.  
  • Identify, through the use of rejection data, and yield and productivity data, opportunities for improvement in plant work centers. 
  • Prepare capital equipment requests for the replacement of existing manufacturing equipment as well as the purchase of new equipment.  Identify safety and environmental issues. 
  • Investigate and develop new testing equipment/technology for process improvement. Contacts vendors, investigates alternatives and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Coordinate inter-plant activities to improve overall production performance. 
  • Responsible for maintaining an awareness of safe work practices and preventing conditions that may result in an unsafe situation or harm the environment.  No operation or task will be conducted unless it can be performed in a safe manner.

Education / Experience:

  • Associate's degree in a technical field or H.S Degree with a minimum of 4 years direct manufacturing experience
  • Proficient with SAP, Microsoft Office
