Responsibilities include performing bulk and packaged deliveries, executing proper loading and unloading procedures, completing required documentation, and ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, and Brenntagās safety standards. General:Ā
DailyĀ operation and driving of a power unitĀ (Class 8 tractors and lower)Ā for chemical distribution.Ā Ā
Job requirementsĀ willĀ include transport of HAZMATĀ andĀ non-hazardousĀ materials.Ā This is both liquid and dry material.Ā
Requirements willĀ includeĀ movements to satisfyĀ outside delivery (customers/vendors),Ā inĀ plantĀ movements (spotting),Ā and/orĀ inter-companyĀ branch transfers.Ā Types of deliveries are:Ā
Bulk deliveries of liquids and solid materials that will include loading and offloading of materials from appropriate trailer configurations. Drivers will participate in the loading/unloading process using pumps, air, etc. to move product.Ā Process will include management of entire process including transport, proper transfer and delivery of product,Ā securement after completion, and execution of all applicable paperwork.Ā Ā
Packaged deliveries of materials in drums, IBCs, or other containers in liquid form. Palletized material (dry or liquid) and supersacksĀ (dry)Ā of product. Process will include management of entire process including transport, proper transfer and delivery of product, securement after completion, and execution of all applicable paperwork.Ā Ā
Candidate must operate a tractor,Ā trailer, or applicable service vehicleĀ in aĀ safe and efficientĀ manner.Ā Driver must complyĀ with allĀ applicableĀ DOT, OSHA, andĀ site-specificĀ rules and regulationsĀ during the performance of job functions. This isĀ including,Ā but not limited to,Ā site and driverĀ safety, packaging, labeling, marking, loading/unloading, placarding, pre-inspection, daily logs,Ā andĀ reporting repairs.Ā
Candidate mustĀ follow allĀ BrenntagĀ operating proceduresĀ and work instructions. In addition, the candidate mustĀ followĀ all safety policies and proceduresĀ whileĀ on a customer/vendor site.Ā
Certification to operate pallet jacks (electric or manual) is a requirement.Ā If required by the location, be certified to operate a forklift and applicable accessories.Ā Must be able to operate dock locks, dock levelers, and additional applicable equipmentĀ for delivery/pickup of material.Ā
Candidate must properly care forĀ all assigned equipment. This includes all ELDs,Ā virtual gateways, camera systems, and tracking units on all tractors and trailers.Ā Must maintain good housekeepingĀ on the equipment and ensure it is in good working order prior to use.Ā
Candidate mustĀ remain in communication with supervisor and/or dispatcher to receive delivery instructions.Ā
Education and ExperienceĀ
High school diploma,Ā general education degree (GED),Ā or US military experience.Ā Ā
Candidates with priorĀ experienceĀ in working with chemicalĀ deliveryĀ may be consideredĀ if education or service requirements are not fully met.Ā Ā
Must meet all components of driver qualifications (DQ)Ā for employment.Ā
Driving: Must Possess:Ā
a Class "A" CDL with Tanker,Ā Bulk,Ā and/or Hazmat Endorsement (as required for role).Ā
a currentĀ DOTĀ medical cardĀ
IfĀ your position hasĀ PFT requirements to wear a respirator, cannot have any facial hair that may interfere with aĀ respirator.Ā
current TWIC card or show proof of application in process (if location requires)Ā
ability to drive aĀ manualĀ transmission.Ā
Driving: Preferred if have:Ā
aĀ minimum of 1 yearĀ liquid bulk hauling experienceĀ or aĀ minimum of 3 years commercial truck driving experienceĀ Ā
certification from Accredited Commercial Driving AcademyĀ Ā
Other Job Requirements:Ā
Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.Ā

Must be willing to operate power units that utilize advanced camera and safety systems (i.e.,Ā Samsara) for compliance purposes.Ā
Must reside local to areaĀ (withinĀ sixtyĀ miles). No lodging provided.Ā
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.Ā
Must passĀ E-verifyĀ check.Ā
