Industrial Engineer 2 Position Overview:

May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. Based on these studies, develops, and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities. Plan and forecast company resources (head count, equipment, and/or floorspace) to support customer demand. Utilize and/or create metrics to measure performance of the resources compared to the plan. Coordinates the operational aspects of projects/programs and serves as liaison between engineering, planning, and shop floor management. Assesses program issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Support the VSM (Value Stream Manager) to achieve cost, quality, and schedule goals. In addition, create and maintain standardized metrics for reviews and reports (Key Performance Indicators, Risk, Earned Value, etc.). Provide oversight of various online tools utilized across projects and functions (e.g., SharePoint development, deployment, and maintenance). Lead/participate in continuous Improvement activities to create efficiencies.


Experience and Education Requisites: 

  • Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent resident (i.e., ‘Green Card’) per ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) guidelines.
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or a foreign person per ITAR.
  • Industrial Engineering Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of related experience
  • Knowledge in Microsoft operating systems and office products (including MS Project)
  • Knowledge in (BI) business intelligence reporting
  • Prefer knowledge in EVM (Earned Value Management)
  • Prefer knowledge in Cyberquery and Power BI
  • Prefer knowledge in Dashboard creation and Costpoint/TIP
  • Prefer knowledge in Shop floor / Operations Performance Metrics
  • Prefer knowledge in Shop floor scheduling / Job assignments
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD
  • Prefer knowledge in lean six sigma
  • Able to work within a fast paced, changing, high energy environment
  • Prior aerospace experienced strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel on limited basis
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Physical ability to lift, climb, grasp, hold, stand, bend, and stoop
