 As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and own gameplay and systems features that help bring engaging player experiences to life. Partnering closely with designers, artists, and fellow engineers, you will solve complex technical challenges and contribute across multiple areas of game development. You will drive features from concept through implementation and delivery, applying strong software engineering principles to create scalable, maintainable solutions that support exceptional gameplay experiences.

  • DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

    • Develops, writes, tests, debugs, and implements code using the relevant programming languages as part of a larger project, with some direction from senior engineers and above.
    • May program tools and utilities to support work on projects.
    • Applies professional expertise to review, analyze and test products under development as a contributing member of a production team to ensure delivery of Nintendo’s high standard of quality and timeliness.

     

    SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

    • 3 or more years of software engineering experience in the relevant field, experience developing gameplay systems, game features, or core technology for shipped video games.
    • Experience designing and implementing solutions within a modern game engine using C++, C#, or similar programming languages.
    • Ability to write clear, maintainable, and portable code, supporting or owning features or technical areas from implementation through delivery, including debugging, optimization, and iteration.
    • Good understanding of interactive entertainment methodologies and production pipeline from implementation through delivery, including debugging, optimization, and iteration.
    • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent education and experience.

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States to be considered. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time. 

This position includes the base pay range listed below, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.

Pay Range:
$108,796—$163,194 USD
