Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.
Senior Software Engineer
We're replacing our legacy Oracle ERP and WMS with custom systems at North America's largest battery recycler. You'll be one of the engineers building warehouse management, procurement workflows, ERP integration, and operational applications that power a $3B+ manufacturing operation. After go-live, you'll own and evolve these systems as the company scales. This is a permanent product area, not a project.
Interview Process:
This is a remote position. Please note that final-round interviews will take place in person at a designated office location. Travel details will be coordinated with selected candidates.Â
Responsibilities will include:
- Own features end-to-end: design, build, test, deploy, and operate in productionÂ
- Write clean, tested Python and React code and participate in code reviewsÂ
- Design and build APIs and integrations between systemsÂ
- Work with domain experts and stakeholders to understand business processes and turn them into working softwareÂ
- Contribute to technical design decisionsÂ
- Navigate a fast-moving environment where requirements change often and ambiguity is normal prioritize effectively and adapt without waiting for perfect informationÂ
- Debug and resolve production issues; monitor and improve system reliabilityÂ
- Collaborate remotely with team and stakeholders; periodic on-site travel (~1 week/quarter) for planning and stakeholder engagementÂ
Qualifications:
- 5+ years software engineering experienceÂ
- Strong Python skills; production React experienceÂ
- Experience building and shipping production applications on AWSÂ
- API design and integration patternsÂ
- Comfort working independently in a remote-first environment and making pragmatic technical decisionsÂ
- Strong written communication: you document decisions and communicate async effectivelyÂ
- Availability for periodic travel to Nevada (~1 week/quarter)Â
Preferred Qualifications:Â
- Direct experience with ERP systems, WMS, supply chain software, or procurement platformsÂ
- Manufacturing, logistics, or recycling industry experienceÂ
- Event-driven architecture or workflow orchestrationÂ
- Enthusiasm for AI-assisted developmentÂ
- Scrappy mindset: you've built under tight timelines and ambiguityÂ
- Remote work experience on distributed engineering teamsÂ
