Valet Drivers are responsible for greeting guests, safely parking and retrieving vehicles, assisting with the flow of vehicles at designated entrances, and providing courteous service throughout each interaction. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing position that requires professionalism, attention to safety, and the ability to remain active throughout the workday.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, professional service.
- Safely drive, park, and retrieve guest vehicles.
- Maintain an orderly and efficient flow of vehicles within designated valet areas.
- Handle vehicle keys according to established procedures.
- Assist guests with directions and general information when appropriate.
- Perform basic visual vehicle inspections and report pre-existing damage or concerns according to procedure.
- Follow all traffic laws, parking procedures, safety requirements, and client-site policies.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct while representing Allied Staffing and its clients.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, guests, and client personnel.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must meet Allied Staffing's driving eligibility requirements and successfully complete any required motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Must be able to safely operate a variety of passenger vehicles, including cars, SUVs, and light trucks.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to report for scheduled shifts on time.
- Strong customer-service and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and client-site policies.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the majority of the shift.
- Ability to enter frequently and exit vehicles and walk or move between parking and service areas.
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather as required.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must successfully satisfy any applicable pre-employment and client-site requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous valet, parking, hospitality, customer-service, transportation, or driving experience is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with the Richmond area is a plus.
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment is a plus.
