About the Role: The Maintenance Technician (Level B)Â is a skilled maintenance professional responsible for ensuring production equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. In this mid-level role, you will focus on maintaining and sustaining critical machinery, minimizing downtime, and supporting consistent product quality. Working in a collaborative team environment, you will apply your technical expertise while continuing to develop advanced maintenance and troubleshooting skills.Â

Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Equipment Maintenance & RepairÂ
Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on a wide range of industrial equipment.Â
Maintain mechanical systems including bearings, shafts, pulleys, belts, chains, motors, and gearboxes.Â
Service conveyance systems, piping, and utilities (steam, air, water).Â
Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure reliable operation and reduced downtime.Â
Troubleshooting & Problem ResolutionÂ
Diagnose and resolve equipment issues impacting safety, quality, and production efficiency.Â
Identify root causes of mechanical failures and understand related electrical interactions.Â
Execute repairs efficiently and communicate findings, corrective actions, and recommendations to maintenance and operations teams.Â
Preventive & Predictive MaintenanceÂ
Preventive Maintenance (PM):Â Perform scheduled inspections, measurements, lubrication, and component replacements.Â
Predictive Maintenance (PdM):Â Use condition-monitoring tools (infrared thermography, oil analysis, basic ultrasonics) to identify early signs of equipment failure.Â
Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM):Â Address issues identified through PM and PdM activities and contribute to refining maintenance job plans.Â
Projects & Continuous ImprovementÂ
Complete work orders supporting plant initiatives, upgrades, and reliability improvements.Â
Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and process enhancements.Â
Contribute to initiatives that improve operational efficiency and equipment performance.Â
Team Collaboration & DevelopmentÂ
Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure effective execution of work.Â
Mentor and support the development of entry-level technicians (Levels C & D).Â
Partner with senior technicians (Level A) on more complex tasks, installations, and overhauls.Â
Actively contribute to a culture of teamwork, learning, and continuous improvement.Â

Qualifications & SkillsÂ
Required ExperienceÂ
Strong background in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.Â
Proven mechanical troubleshooting skills.Â
Safety ExpertiseÂ
Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements, including:Â
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)Â
Confined space entryÂ
PPE usageÂ
Hot work proceduresÂ
Powered industrial trucks (PIT)Â
Fall protectionÂ
Hoisting and riggingÂ
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.Â
Technical SkillsÂ
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.Â
Ability to select and properly use the right tools for each task.Â
Experience using CMMS or basic computer systems to document work and manage parts.Â
Blueprint & Schematic InterpretationÂ
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.Â
Capable of creating simple sketches or notes to communicate maintenance work.Â
Analytical AbilityÂ
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.Â
Solid math skills, including measurements, conversions, and basic formulas used in maintenance work.Â

Preferred QualificationsÂ
Fabrication Skills:Â Welding, machining, or equipment modification experience.Â
Advanced Predictive Maintenance:Â Experience with vibration analysis or advanced diagnostic tools.Â
Leadership Experience:Â Experience mentoring technicians or leading small-scale maintenance efforts.Â
3 years of experience in Maintenance.Â
Starting pay is $28.12/hr Â
Monday Through Friday 8:00 am-4:00 pmÂ
