RandallOffsite Construction is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Quality Control Assistant to workin our Apopka, Florida headquarters and manufacturing plant to supportour quality program and help ensure that our offsite construction products meetcompany standards, project requirements, and applicable specifications.
PositionSummary
Thisis a hands-on position working closely with Quality Control, Production,Project Management, and other team members throughout the manufacturing andassembly process. The Quality Control Assistant will perform inspections,document results, identify quality issues, maintain QC records, and help ensuredeficiencies are addressed before products advance to the next stage ofproduction or leave our facility.
Theideal candidate takes pride in doing things right, has strong attention todetail, communicates effectively, and is comfortable working both on theproduction floor and with inspection documentation.
EssentialFunctions
· Assist with in-processand final quality inspections of offsite construction assemblies andcomponents.
· Verify workmanshipagainst approved drawings, specifications, checklists, and Randall qualitystandards.
· Perform and documentroutine inspections throughout various stages of production.
· Identify, photograph,document, and communicate deficiencies and non-conforming work.
· Work with productionpersonnel to verify that corrective work has been completed properly.
· Maintain organizedinspection records, photographs, checklists, and other quality documentation.
· Review production workfor items such as:
· Dimensionsand general assembly
· Materialcondition and proper installation
· Fasteners,connections, and attachment methods
· Workmanshipand finish quality
· Labelingand identification
· Completionof required production and QC checklists
· Assist with incomingmaterial inspections.
· Communicate qualityconcerns promptly and professionally to supervisors and appropriate teammembers.
· Help identify any recurringquality issues and opportunities to improve production processes.
· Maintain a clean,organized, and safe work environment.
· Follow all companysafety policies and procedures.
· Perform other qualityand production-support duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Education / Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize inconsistencies or workmanship issues.
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions, checklists, and specifications.
- Mid-level computer skills and ability to enter inspection information accurately.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with production employees, supervisors, and management.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
- Driven to learn Randall Offsite Construction's quality standards, processes, and products.
- Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, fabrication, modular construction, or quality control.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings or shop drawings.
- Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, levels, squares, and similar inspection equipment.
- Familiarity with inspection reports, punch lists, non-conformance documentation, or quality-management processes.
PhysicalRequirements
Thisposition requires regular work in shop and active field/jobsite environments.The QC Assistant must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, remain on their feetfor extended periods, and bend, stretch, crouch, climb, and move throughoutactive construction environments as necessary.
Theposition also requires the ability to recognize and respond appropriately topotentially hazardous conditions, respond to audible warnings, and properlywear required personal protective equipment. These requirements align with thefield requirements identified in RANDALL's Safety Specialist position.
