Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Scrum Master / Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in Agile project delivery, Scrum methodologies, and end-to-end IT project management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading cross-functional technology teams, managing complex projects, driving Agile practices, and ensuring successful delivery of strategic business initiatives.

This role requires a combination of Agile leadership, project planning, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, resource management, and technical delivery experience. The candidate will work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, architects, DevOps engineers, and executive leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Scrum Master & Agile Leadership

Lead and facilitate daily Scrum meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
Coach and mentor Agile teams on Scrum principles, Agile best practices, and continuous improvement.
Remove impediments and resolve blockers impacting team productivity and sprint delivery.
Collaborate with Product Owners to manage and prioritize product backlogs.
Monitor sprint velocity, burndown charts, team capacity, and delivery performance.
Drive Agile maturity and promote self-organizing, high-performing teams.
Coordinate dependencies across multiple Scrum teams.
Support SAFe ceremonies, PI Planning, and release planning when applicable.

Project Management & Delivery

Manage the complete project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation.
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
Track project progress and ensure timely completion of milestones.
Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
Maintain RAID logs, project trackers, status reports, and governance documentation.
Manage project budgets, resource utilization, and delivery commitments.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across development, QA, infrastructure, security, and business operations.
Oversee project change management and scope control.
Ensure project deliverables meet business requirements and quality standards.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

Partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, technical leads, and senior management.
Provide regular project status updates, executive presentations, and delivery reports.
Manage stakeholder expectations, escalations, and project dependencies.
Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams.
Coordinate offshore and onshore resources to ensure effective project execution.
Build strong relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and business partners.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Develop project dashboards and performance reports using Jira, Azure DevOps, Excel, and Power BI.
Track Agile and project management KPIs.
Identify process inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive transparency, accountability, and predictable delivery across teams.
Conduct lessons-learned sessions and implement improvement action plans.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of overall experience in IT project management and Agile delivery.
5+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Manager, or Technical Project Manager.
Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
Proven experience managing multiple projects and cross-functional teams.
Experience managing project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies.
Strong experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar project management tools.
Experience working with distributed offshore and onshore teams.
Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP certification.
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
SAFe Agilist certification.
PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
Experience with enterprise-level digital transformation projects.
Experience with cloud migration, application development, infrastructure, or data projects.
Experience working in financial services, healthcare, insurance, retail, or other enterprise environments.
