The Credit &Collection Manager is responsible for developing and managingpersonalized collection plans, monitoring aged accounts, and optimizingcollection processes to improve cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables.
This role will collaborate across departmentsto ensure credit terms and risk assessments are aligned with businessobjectives, while maintaining strong client relationships through consistent,professional communication. You will handle escalated accounts, negotiatefeasible payment arrangements, and conduct in-person visits for high-risk orstrategic clients when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
•       CollectionsStrategy and Planning
•       Developand execute collection strategies and policies through checking currentpolicies and assess financial goals to align strategies to ensure that collectionsstrategies are optimized to achieve the company's financial objectives
•       Createand manage collection plans and develop personalized collection action plans tofacilitate timely resolutions for overdue payments and reduce the amount ofoutstanding debt
•       Collaboratewith the collection team to establish credit terms and risk assessment criteriato align collection efforts with accurate risk assessment to prevent futureoverdue accounts.
•       Monitorand analyze aged accounts receivable reports to identify delinquent accountsthrough creation of a process to track the status of the overdue accounts
•       Coordinatecollection efforts based on the account urgency to maximize cash flow byaddressing the highest priority overdue accounts first and reduce outstandingbalances
•       ClientCommunication
•       Contactclients to discuss overdue accounts and negotiate payment arrangements toresolve overdue debts by negotiating feasible payment terms with clients
•       Maintainprofessional and positive relationships with clients to encourage timelypayments by providing consistent communication and support to clients duringthe collection process to foster goodwill and trust with clients, ensuringongoing prompt payment behavior
•       Handleescalated inquiries and negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining acustomer-centric approach to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining apositive relationship with clients
•       Visithigh-risk or strategic clients in-person, as needed, to resolve disputes orformalize revised payment terms.
•       PerformanceMonitoring
•       Trackand report on collections performance metrics, adjusting strategies asnecessary through producing regular reports on collections metrics and analyzetrends to monitor the success of collections efforts, adjusting strategies toimprove outcomes where necessary
•       Provideregular updates to the Collection Head regarding account statuses andcollection efforts to ensure senior management is informed and can providenecessary guidance
•       Generateand present regular collections reports, highlighting trends, progress, andareas of concern to keep stakeholders informed and align team efforts withorganizational goals
•       MeasureKPIs for team and clients using real-time data (e.g., delay bucket analysis,collection ratio)
•       Trackcollection targets vs. actuals and provide insights on gaps and necessarystrategy shifts
•       CreditPolicy Management
•       Developand refine client-specific credit policies, adjusting based on segmentbehavior, profitability, and risk appetite.
•       Approveor decline special requests for extended credit periods after evaluatingpayment history, financials, and order size.
•       Collaboratewith sales teams to ensure deals align with credit policies and paymentcapabilities.
•       Collaboration
•       Workclosely with other departments to resolve disputes and improve collectionprocesses and prevent Issues from arising In the future
•       Collaboratewith the finance team to ensure accurate reporting and compliance withfinancial regulations through gathering relevant data and process It to ensurethat all reports are compliant with financial regulations

•       Preparereports on collection activities and account statuses for management review tokeep management informed to enable effective decision-making

•       Identifyrisks, proposing strategies through checking reports and gathering informationto identify potential risks to collections to minimize financial losses byaddressing risks before they become problematic
Requirements
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting,Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience incollections or accounts receivable, -preferably in the IT or technology sector
- Proventrack record of meeting or exceeding collection targets
- Proficientin using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Familiaritywith collections management systems and databases
- Understandingof relevant laws and regulations related to debt collection
- Excellentnegotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellentcommunication and negotiation skills.
