About the Role:

The Residence Inn Roanoke Airport Guest Room Attendant / Houseman plays a vital role in ensuring a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all hotel guests. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and public areas, directly impacting guest satisfaction and the hotel's reputation. The role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance or cleanliness issues. The Guest Room Attendant / Houseman collaborates closely with the housekeeping team and management to ensure timely room turnovers and support overall hotel operations. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms thoroughly, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in public areas such as hallways, lobbies, and restrooms.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms or event spaces as needed.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management.
• Support the housekeeping team by transporting linens, supplies, and trash efficiently throughout the hotel.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests related to room cleanliness or amenities.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
