SUMMARY Â
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Planning and Scheduling Manager with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Planning and Scheduling Manager will perform non-routine planning and scheduling assignments that require the selection and application of complex scheduling principles and techniques on highly complex projects. Management, leadership and coordination of team members and processes to implement scheduling strategy on our projects.Â

RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Lead and coordinate site teams and trade partners in the development of project schedules using common CPM scheduling programs on large, complex, or multiple projectsÂ
Support group leadership through the monitoring and updating of project schedules on multiple projects or larger projectsÂ
Generate mitigation options and assist site management to formulate mitigation plans to correct scheduling problems on a projectÂ
Coach, mentor, and train other team members in scheduling methods Â
Collaborate with Business Development on proposals, including leading successful project pursuit strategy regarding project scheduleÂ
Support roll-out of all company-wide training plans Â
Participate in corporate planning and scheduling improvement initiatives and best practice sharingÂ
Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsÂ
Â
QUALIFICATIONSÂ
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or equivalent field Â
Minimum of eight (8) years construction experience; or equivalent combination of training and experienceÂ
Advanced knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company software Â
Thorough knowledge of standard construction practices, project sequencing and installation methods Â
Shown ability to exercise creativity and mature judgment in independently anticipating, identifying, and solving unprecedented problems on complex projectsÂ
Strong plan and specification reading, review and interpretation skills with ability to identify concerns in document reviewÂ
Knowledge of project management, buyout, and contracts Â
Working knowledge of 4D visual planning methodologiesÂ
Strong organization and delegation skills as well as the ability to manage the work of othersÂ
Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience resulting in superior service rankings from both our external and internal customersÂ
Basic understanding of project estimates to assist with schedule development, cost loading and resource loading of schedulesÂ
Ability to interpret and implement customer scheduling specifications and contract requirementsÂ
Ability to quickly understand complex projects at the proposal stage, often without project plans, developing strong project schedule strategies based on anticipated project challengesÂ
Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative, team-based environmentÂ
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with initiative to seek innovative solutionsÂ
Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete and timely fashionÂ
Excellent oral and written communication skills Â
Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedbackÂ

The base pay range for this role is $116,900 - $175,400. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Â
Â
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.Â
