SUMMARY Â
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager in our Power Delivery Group to lead, manage, document, monitor, and analyze the quality system on multiple projects; and lead necessary corrective and preventive actions. Â
Â
RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Develop, assess, and report on quality performance metricsÂ
Manage/monitor quality defects, follow-up actions and trendsÂ
Drive a performance-based culture designed to meet and exceed department and team goals while creating and fostering a healthy team environmentÂ
Support and guide employee learning and development in the area of QualityÂ
Lead project Quality Assessments and/or train other team members to complete assessmentsÂ
General Quality System: Work closely with other Quality leaders and teams to ensure efficient and effective implementation of Quality SystemÂ
Support the development and delivery of training for general Quality processes and technical overview scopes (Electrical, etc.)Â
Assist adjacent teams that play a critical role in Quality management—design phase managers, design engineers, project engineers, field engineers, superintendentsÂ

QUALIFICATIONSÂ
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other science or mathematical related degree, or equivalent combination of education and technical/field experience demonstrated over multiple years of related work experienceÂ
Quality roles including three or more years of quality experience helping to build and maintain Quality systems and culture of Quality Â
3+ years of experience in the design, engineering, construction industry, heavy industry, utilities or renewable energy generation with experience leading projects or facility’s quality systemÂ
Knowledge of one or more quality systems: i.e., Malcolm Baldridge, ISO 9000, Lean, Kaizen, Army Corps of Engineers, TQM, continuous improvement, value streams, etc. Â
Communicate professionally and effectively across multiple internal and external audiencesÂ
Build, motivate, and lead diverse and growing teamsÂ
Participate and contribute to industry standardization effortsÂ
Evaluate business needs and develop appropriate solutions in an unconventional environment Â
Experience with issue management, and inspection of work put in place Â
Ability to travel up to 100%Â
Current driver’s licenseÂ
Preferred skills include:Â
Auditor certification (CQM, CQI, ISO 9001, or ASQ)Â
Experience/knowledge of International Building Code (IBC), building envelope requirements, and/or National Electrical Code - NFPA 70Â
Experience/knowledge of Renewable Energy Construction and/or electrical infrastructure in generation and grid assetsÂ

The base pay range for this role is $100,100 MIN - $150,200 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Â
Â
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.Â
