Description:

Bellbrook is seeking a Full-time Maintenance Supervisor/Day Shift for its community in Rochester Hills, MI. POSITION PURPOSE:

The incumbent is to over the health care side of the communities’ preventative maintenance. Making sure call lights,

wheelchairs and lift equipment is safe and working efficiently in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and

local standards, guidelines, TSLC establish polices and procedures, and may be directed by your supervisor, to assure

that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times

General Responsibilities:

  • Ensure assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, sanitary and attractive manner. Ensure established infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained when performing environmental services procedures.
  • Ensure adequate supplies are available and maintained in order to perform daily tasks. Ensure equipment and supplies are cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift.
  • Report extinguished light bulbs, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, malfunctions, breakdowns, etc. Change and install light bulbs as needed.
  • Clean and polish the community including windows and mirrors, walls and ceilings, furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating and cooling units and floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping.
  • Floor care including stripping, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing and disinfecting, etc., daily.
  • Complete deep thorough clean of entire room as needed including prior to admission or after discharge

MINIMUM QUALIFACTIONS

1. High School Diploma or equivalent. Applicable trade school education or associates degree is preferred.

2. Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, as well as various mechanical and

electrical and plumbing systems.

3. Able to read and interpret blueprints and knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.

4. Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred

5. Supervisory experience preferred.

6. Must lead by example and possess superior customer service skills and professionalism

7. Flexibility to adapt to ongoing change and work in a fast-paced, customer driven environment.

8. Interpersonal skills to drive collaboration, commitment and productivity when working with cross-functional

teams, customers and end users.

9. Self-starter, highly motivated with high energy level.

10. Demonstrates superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
