The US Immigration Specialist is responsible for supporting and managing U.S. employment-based immigration processes. This role partners closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and external immigration counsel to ensure compliant and efficient administration of U.S. visa and permanent residency cases. The specialist monitors case progress and provides guidance on U.S. immigration options and requirements, and supports a consistent, high-quality experience for employees and business stakeholders throughout the immigration lifecycle.
Responsibilities
•    Manage end-to-end employment-based immigration processes, including nonimmigrant visas (e.g., H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3) and permanent residency (PERM, I-140, I-485)Â
•    Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, hiring managers, and HR partners regarding immigration and mobility mattersÂ
•    Partner with external immigration counsel to prepare, review, and file petitions and applicationsÂ
•    Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and outside immigration counsel to ensure alignment on service expectations, communication, and compliance
•    Ensure compliance with all federal regulations, including Public Access Files (PAFs), I-9 requirements, and audit readinessÂ
•    Monitor changes in immigration laws and policies; provide guidance and recommendations to stakeholdersÂ
•    Coordinate with payroll, tax, and legal teams to ensure compliance with cross-border employment regulationsÂ
•    Develop and deliver training and communications related to immigration and mobility processesÂ
•    Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and vendor management related to immigration and relocation servicesÂ
•    Generate reports and metrics on immigration caseload, trends, and program effectivenessÂ
•    Carry out administrative tasks related to immigration processes
•    HR Generalist experience in talent acquisition, onboarding and communications is highly appreciatedÂ
Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Legal Studies, or a related fieldÂ
•    2-5 years of experience in employment-based immigration and/or global mobilityÂ
•    Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration processes and compliance requirementsÂ
•    Experience working with immigration case management systems and external counselÂ
•    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailÂ
•    Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex processes clearlyÂ
•    Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentÂ
•    High level of discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
