Location: Thisis a full-time hybrid position in our office located at 300 Clinton Square,Rochester, NY. 

*For most of our positions at Insero, one can work in the office everyday or in a hybrid structure/up to 3 days at home based on workload/officeneeds. 


*Our office is located in the heart of downtown Rochester. There is easyaccess to great restaurants and events, and featured amenities such ascollaboration spaces, game room and firm paid for underground parking in asecure garage. We also have comfortable break rooms fully stocked withcomplimentary drinks and snacks.

 

Responsibilities: 

·         Serving as Manager on auditengagements for commercial financial statement audits and employee benefit planaudits.  That includes conducting a review of the work papers prior toPartner review, to ensure that auditors properly carried out the proceduresassigned to them; that the programs and conclusions are properly completed; andthat the documentation of the audit or review work conforms to Firm standards.

·         Plans andcontrols assignments, organize resources, develop people and proactively solvesproblems and makes timely decisions.

·         Evaluating all technical steps inorder to complete and review work papers with Partners.

·         Reviewing financial statements, notes,schedules, and management letters as needed.

·         Reporting test conclusions that impacton the audit plan, i.e., where insufficient assurance is obtained to meet theaudit strategy.

·         Informing the Engagement Partnerregarding any audit and accounting difficulties that you may experience with anassignment/task that could affect our scheduled deadline.

·         Reviewing and evaluating the internalcontrols and preparing the audit program and time budget.

·         Conducting a review of the work papersprior to partner review, to ensure that the accountants properly carried outthe procedures assigned to them, that the programs and conclusions are properlycompleted and that the documentation of the audit or review work conforms toFirm standards.

·         Supporting Partners throughmaintaining a good working relationship with client personnel and other teammembers and demonstrating an awareness of the client's business.

·         Listens toclients, anticipates their needs, adapts to client priorities/agenda, plansaccordingly.

·         Articulatesclient issues/opportunities to client service team and client; ability tocommunicate technical issues and conclusions in a non-technical manner.

·         Dedicates time to coachingStaff/Seniors/Supervisors through on-the-job training.

Conductingtimely performance appraisals for the accountants assigned to work with you.


Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

Minimumof a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a CPA license is required. MBA/Master’s degree is preferred. Managers normally have a minimum of 6+ years’ experience as anauditor working within public accounting (or equivalent experience as deemedappropriate by the firm).  Managers also should possess 3+ yearsleading/supervising audit engagements. Experience working on audits for clientsin the commercial sector (business services, real estate, manufacturing, etc.)is highly preferred. Qualified candidates should also have excellent communicationskills, self-confidence, and be self-motivated and capable of workingproductively in a professional environment. Must be conscientious,detailed-oriented and have excellent organizational skills. Solid knowledge ofspreadsheet and database applications is required; experience withfinancial/accounting software applications is a plus.

Salary Information:  

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the starting basepay range for an Audit Manager-Senior Manager is $95,000 - $135,000 annually.Please keep in mind that this range is base pay only and does not considerother components that make up the total rewards package for the position suchas eligibility to receive bonus incentives. This range is a reasonable estimateof the current salary range for this position. Actual compensation isinfluenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience,qualifications, and/or education and geographic location.  It is nottypical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for theirrole and compensation decisions are dependent on the capabilities andexperience of the candidate. Incentives, if any, depend on various factors,including, without limitation, individual and firm performance.

Manager Bonus Program: Managers are eligible for an annual bonus based on individual performance andfirm profitability. The firm targets a bonus range of 5% of base salary forachieving all goals and up to 10% for exceeding goals.
