About the RoleÂ
The Operations Managerreports to the Senior Operations Manager at Bermex. This position plays a key role in working with management to improve operations, sales, profit, and employee development in order to attain customer satisfaction.This position also requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail, and exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skills.Â
***Salary Disclaimer: For those residing in New York, the salary for this position is $95,000/year. ***
What You’ll DoÂ
Operation Supervisor Management:Â
Provide direction, training, support, supervision, and motivation to operation supervisors including their downline reportsÂ
Ensure that approved policies and objectives are clearly understood and effectively applied to each operating unitÂ
Supervise and review the preparation of forecast numbers for each of his/her departmentsÂ
Review performance and causes of significant variances, along with corrective action plansÂ
Conduct performance and wage reviews for department supervisionÂ
Business Management:Â
Ensure timely production reports and accurate record information to operating activities for such purposes as control, planning, accounting and required customer reportsÂ
Keep track of staffing requirements and hire new talent as needed to correspond with specific duties and skill setsÂ
Ensure monthly operation reports listing any unusual events – major expenditures, legal actions, overtime payments, etc. are distributed to appropriate department(s)/personnelÂ
Customer Communication:Â
Handle or defer all customer complaints to the appropriate authoritiesÂ
Professionally represent the company to clients and their customersÂ
Provide general information about the meter services to customers, when applicableÂ
Other duties as assigned.Â
About YouÂ
Must haves:Â
Education: High School Diploma or GEDÂ
Experience: 3 years of experience in an operations management or supervisory role.
3 years of experience in the field of damage prevention directly managing teams of line locate technicians.
Nice to haves:Â
Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management or BusinessAdministrationÂ
Experience: 5 years of experience in operations management or supervisory role. At least 1 year of experience in budget development and oversight is a plus Â

Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of operations and customer serviceÂ
Highly trained in conflict management and business negotiation processesÂ
Knowledge of operations, safety process, programs, and proceduresÂ
Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with management and customersÂ
Strong analytical and financial analysis skillsÂ
Ability to teach, coach and train operation supervisors to drive change and execute process improvements across officesÂ
Knowledge of general business software and aptitude for learning new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Â
Ability to multi-task, and work independently and as a teamÂ
Proven abilities of strong leadership skills Â
Excellent attention to detail for problem solving and findingÂ
