Commercial Project Manager | Glass & Glazing

J&A Glass & Mirror Inc.
Rogers, Minnesota | Full-time
Salary: $75,000–$110,000 annually, based on relevant experience.

J&A Glass is hiring a Commercial Project Manager to manage glazing projects from contract award through closeout. Our work includes storefronts, curtain wall systems, entrances, door hardware, and interior glass.

We need someone who understands how decisions in the office affect the field. You will take ownership of assigned projects, keep customers informed, and address problems before they become delays or added costs.

About the Position

This position is primarily based in our Rogers office, with occasional jobsite visits. You will coordinate projects with general contractors, suppliers, our office team, and field crews.

  • Reports to: Sam Olson, General Manager.
  • Project workload: Projects typically range from $60,000 to $250,000. An assigned portfolio may include up to 30 open projects at different stages, from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Typical office hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Rogers, Minnesota.

What You Can Expect From J&A

  • Responsibility for your projects, with access to leadership when an issue needs to be escalated.
  • Collaboration with estimating, operations, and experienced field personnel.
  • Opportunities to contribute practical improvements to how we plan and execute work.
  • A team that values clear communication, accountability, and pride in the finished installation.

What You Will Manage

  • Review the estimate, contract scope, drawings, and specifications at project handoff. Resolve gaps before materials are released or installation begins.
  • Coordinate submittals, shop drawing approvals, and requests for information.
  • Plan material orders and fabrication releases around project schedules and supplier lead times.
  • Coordinate deliveries, equipment, and manpower with operations and field leadership.
  • Track project costs and remaining labor against the budget. Identify overruns early and work through corrective action.
  • Document scope changes, prepare pricing, and follow the approval process for extra work.
  • Maintain communication with general contractors and customers. Keep the field informed of decisions that affect installation.
  • Occasionally visit jobsites to meet with clients, review progress, installation readiness, quality, and safety concerns.
  • Provide accurate project information for billing and manage punch lists, closeout documents, and final completion.
  • Work with estimating during project handoff and on changes to assigned projects.

What We Are Looking For

  • At least three years of construction project management experience. Commercial glazing or related building-envelope experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Experience managing project budgets, material procurement, and change orders.
  • Practical understanding of installation sequencing and field coordination.
  • Confidence communicating with general contractors and addressing scope, cost, or schedule issues directly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn our project management software.
  • Consistent follow-through. We need someone who keeps commitments and raises issues while there is still time to address them.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary within the posted range, based on experience and ability to manage the assigned work.
  • Health and dental insurance.
  • Paid time off.
  • Paid holidays.
  • 401(k) with company match.
