Specialty Instructors
Work cooperatively with fellow camp staff to provide a healthy, safe and enjoyable camp environment and experience for all campers. Specialty Instructors facilitate program activities during scheduled class times in an area of training or expertise.Â

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction of assigned camp activities to campers.
- Manage camper behavior to ensure all campers are actively and positively participating.
- Ensure the safety of all campers when participating in camp activities.
- Keep program areas clean and supplies well maintained.
- Provide emotional and behavioral support to campers as needed by following behavior management techniques as outlined in the staff manual and during training.
- Follow all camp policies and procedures to ensure camper and staff health and safety.

Requirements
- Completed at least 1 year of college education or equivalent experience.
- A desire to positively impact the life of a child and willingness to put the needs of campers first.
- Have a passion for science, animals, and childhood development.
- Able to effectively communicate ideas, thoughts, and instructions in a constructive manner.
- Self-motivated and able to work on tasks and assigned goals with minimal supervision.
- Be willing to learn new concepts and skills.
- Able to work in a team and both give and take direction from others.
- Willingness to adhere to camp’s code of conduct, rules, and policies.
Benefits
Salary negotiable upon hire. Daily work hours and breaks vary depending on availability and camp needs. Minimum of 1-hour break per 8 hours of work each day. Meals included.Â
