Job Summary: 

The Electrical Technician for Research & Development will build, troubleshoot, and repair various types of future model printing equipment during the Engineering development and validation process.

Job Skills & Requirements:

  • Install and maintain wiring, control panels, and lighting systems
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers
  • Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
  • Read and build machines using electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics 
  • Recommend configurations and design for electrical controls on equipment

Qualifications:

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
  • Ability to build equipment as it is being developed. This means not all drawings are complete.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects during a given day if necessary
  • Willingness to train Production Assemblers on how to build a machine
  • Willingness to work with Engineers and Managers as they experiment with new designs
  • Willingness to make suggestions which improve the ease of build, error and mistake proofing, reduce costs, and/or simplify the machine.
  • Proven abilities regarding electrical assembly of various types of M&R equipment
  • Preferred at least 3-5 years of electrical experience

Shift – 1st:

  • Monday through Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm, Overtime as needed
