Overnight Floor Care Specialist - Housekeeping

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Overnight Floor Care Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, restoring, and protecting hard-surface flooring throughout the property, with a strong emphasis on terrazzo floor care. This position requires hands-on experience operating commercial floor-care equipment and performing restorative and preventative floor-maintenance procedures. You will take pride in floor appearance, understand proper chemical and equipment usage, and independently assess floor conditions and determine the appropriate floor-care process.

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll maintain clean, polished, and welcoming floors that reflect the resort’s high standards of cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain terrazzo and other hard-surface flooring to establish cleanliness and appearance standards.
Perform stripping, refinishing, top scrubbing, recoating, and high-speed burnishing as needed.
Operate commercial floor care equipment safely and effectively.
Select appropriate chemicals, pads, and procedures based on floor type and condition.
Remove scuffs, buildup, and residue while maintaining edges, corners, and hard-to-reach areas.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum of 1 year experience maintaining terrazzo flooring in a large hotel, resort, convention center, or other high-volume commercial environment.
Demonstrated experience with:

Full strip and wax/refinish
Top scrub and recoat
Burnishing
High-speed scrubbing
Routine and restorative terrazzo floor maintenance

Experience operating commercial floor-care equipment
Ability to identify floor conditions and select the appropriate cleaning or restoration method
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to follow safety procedures and chemical-handling requirements
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
