UC Davis Rehabilitation Hospital an inpatient rehabilitation hospital programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. Offering customized, intense rehabilitation tailored to the individual needs of those recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

How you’ll contribute 

A Pharmacy Supervisor who excels in this role:

  • Verifies and dispenses medication orders accurately and promptly.

  • Supervises Pharmacy Technician(s) and oversees daily workflow.
  • Manages medication storage and conducts routine audits to ensure safe, secure, and compliant medication use.
  • Provides clinical pharmacy services, including therapy evaluation, drug information, and documentation of clinical interventions.
  • Participates in medication reconciliation.
  • Leads and manages pharmacy staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, and coaching.
  • Implements and maintains departmental policies, procedures, and medication-use protocols.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and medication-management standards.
  • Leads quality and performance improvement initiatives related to pharmacy operations.
  • Collaborates with clinicians and promotes effective interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Mentors pharmacy students in accordance with academic requirements.

What we’re looking for 

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with Pharmacist degree. Pharm.D. preferred.

  • Licenses/Certification: Current CA state pharmacist license 

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in hospital pharmacy is desirable.

  • Demonstrated management/leadership skills and/or program management.
