Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Home Office - Sacramento, CA 95833Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $105,000.00 - $116,000.00 SalaryJob Category: EducationGENERAL SUMMARY: The Speech and Language Pathologist evaluates, plans, and administers comprehensive speech therapy modalities/regimens as prescribed by a physician to patients with speech, voice, language, cognitive-communicative, and oral-pharyngeal swallowing disorders in their place of residence for the purpose of improving and/or restoring speech and/or swallowing functions.   ______________________________________________________________________________   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   Duties include but are not limited to:   Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.  Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder or progressive neurological disorders.  Work with people who don't have speech, language, or swallowing disorders, but want to learn how to communicate more effectively (e.g., work on accent modification or other forms of communication enhancement).  Work with people who have difficulty producing speech sounds correctly or fluently  QualificationsRequired knowledge, skills & abilities:     Experience working with people who have disorders that occur when a person has trouble understanding others (receptive language), or sharing thoughts, ideas, and feelings (expressive language). Language disorders may be spoken or written and may involve the form (phonology, morphology, syntax), content (semantics), and/or use (pragmatics) of language in functional and socially appropriate ways.  Ability to work with people who have Cognitive-communication disorders include problems organizing thoughts, paying attention, remembering, planning, and/or problem-solving. These disorders usually happen as a result of a stroke, traumatic brain injury, or dementia, although they can be congenital.  Effective communication and interpersonal skills  Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and databases and do word processing    Education and Experience:   Bachelor’s degree or higher  3-5years experience, preferably in an education environment  This is a 10-month role with comprehensive benefits, including 100% full coverage of base plans, medical, dental, and vision for the employee and their eligible dependents.
